Inspired by a line from Christina Rossetti, Hear the Nightingale is a painting devoted to both of my grandparent's passing. The nightingale skull along with the brass bell symbolizes death and the eventual calling we all answer. While the flowers represent my grandparents; lady banks rose for Papa and azaleas for Oma.
