Working for a coffee shop together, Denver Crawford and I decided to collaborate on this panel together. We would complete a layer and then pass it along to the other person to tackle the composition however they see fit. Over time this panel took a political turn as a commentary on Trump and the American political plain. Through the different layers, a viewer can see the raised text reading “this world bred this beast”, battered US coins, an American flag, and precisely cut-out NY Times prints of Trump’s name and mouth.
